Ok, did not make it home. 100 miles from the Springs RPMs went up, speed went down. Turns out a bad bearing on the input shaft caused the seal to leak and the oil caused the clutch to wear out. BMW...

As far as your issue goes a small amount of metal after a FD bearing replacement is normal. Really hard to get all the debris...
