Yeah, there was another bike that was a dealer bike with around 5k miles on it for about 500 dollars less an it was in black. I was happy to pay the extra for virtually new and the color I wanted....

They are all the same. The later (post 98?) the baffle in the exhaust aren't quite as easy to remove, and the '96 and '97 had different gearing, but all Honda did was bump up a few teeth in the back...

The batteries all die pretty quick on the DRZs, so buy the cheap $45 one and get a battery tender. That is really the only way to save them. Plug it in any time you're not riding every few days.

520's will hold up just fine. If a sportbike puts enough power down to make it go from 0~60 in 3 seconds and doesn't harm the chain, a 650 being driven normally won't wear out the chain unreasonably...
