It doesn't unless you are pushing a bunch of oil out the crankcase vent and over oiling the air cleaner. But it should reduce oil usage and keep you air cleaner box less oily.

It says it replaces the light in the CRFX fender. The CRF450R does not have a light so you would want the CRF450X fender.
