Fuel Pump Strainer Maintenance

FYI, don't ignore the strainer!
I did and had to do it all over again (remove tank, etc).
Found small slivers if the strainer material inside which, apparently were being pureed in the pump,...

I don't know if i could get away with disk only, don't have enough knowledge on the matter.
It was replaced at 80k now at 200. Planning on using the 80k Trans-rebuilt & new disk, prob won't happen...

about 20k i think, i replaced the original bushings that the po installed after noticing some play in the fd which caused one of them to deform on the outer race.
now at 20k still good, no slop.
