TCK 80's are hard to beat. Kenda 270's are cheap and last reasonably well. I prefer a MT21 on the front though and a Kenda 270 on the rear. That satup is far better than the deathwings that come on...

You don't need to move came to check valves. The only thing you need to do is loosen the cam chain adjuster. I prefer MCCT's on DRZ's for the simple fact every automatic one I've ran across wears out...
