Did you hit a sharp bump or anything like that? I have the same GPS and haven't had a big number like that, but a riding buddy has a Garmin Montana and once in a while on bumpy roads he gets readouts...

The BMW dealer carry 17" inner tubes for the F800GS. They may have 19s. If not try a KTM or a metric dealer and get a 19 rear for a MX bike. I only carry a 19.

I've done 5 checks so far on my bike. It seems that the exhaust valves on my bike are getting looser. At .40 mm you can either leave it or if you can/want move it to .35mm with the next thicker shim....

I used the Delorme InReach last summer. It worked all the way up to Deadhorse. You can text up to 160 characters with it. I don't have the Spot, but I saw others up there with them, so it must work...
