Hello All,

I'm in Paris and am looking for a very good, personable mechanic for my 2010 BMW R 1200 GS Adventure.

Will be changing the tires, changing the exhaust to an Akrapovich full racing...

Chains vs. Claws

That's also what I've been thinking. With the claws there would be less overall traction surface.

Another preoccupation is if the chains (or claws) would have a detrimental effect on the tires...

Have quite a dilemma on my tires ... which would be better in the snow (packed road snow and slush found in a ski resort town):
