Oops, just seen XXs thread, I don't load the bike up mega heavy, never ride with pillion or the like so non Dakar should be fine then. Also good price at under 100 a pair delivered.

Thanks guys, will look at the mefo, also golden tyre if they do the size. K60s are not expensive in the UK, I have had one high mileage one split on a 1200 but that's all so far.

I want something that will last and do the mileage, had K60 on my 1200 and they lasted for 10000 miles, need something that will do that plus the odd weekend on the trails, not deep mud or anything...

Heavy throttle?

I'm starting to love this bike, took a while for me to get used to a 650 after the 1200 but I'm getting there. One thing though the throttle seems very heavy, it's routed ok and oiled, plus the twist...

Tyres are such a personal thing, my GS1200 has 76000miles on it (2007) and I have had K60s on it and I had them on my F800gs as well. Like SOG says they are a hard tyre but they will grip on the road...

I agree, tyres seem to make a big difference to bar vibration, I just put some part worn Karoos back on for some wet off roading and the bars vibrate more than they did with the K60s.
