PMXTEC Headlight Kit

The cure for my lousy KTM headlights has been the PMXTEC headlight kit (pmxtec.com). The only caveat is that it has a single filament bulb but it is many times brighter than the stock light. I...

Spongy Front Brake

The 'pushing in the brake caliper piston trick' almost always works to alleviate the spongy brake syndrome. This actually is a form of reverse bleeding. Another widely used trick is to, with the...

TrailTech Odometers

A nice feature of the Striker is that the trip meter is easily adjustible in increments up or down. It is too bad that none of the TT odos have dual trip meters like the stock odos do.

A word to the wise; these one way vent valves are not a good idea. They can lead to excessive pressure buildup in the tank as the gas heats up, often overloading the float needle valve, etc.

That sounds like an oxymoron, i.e. 101mph and smooth with unbalanced wheels! Did the wheels have single rim locks? Perhaps the wheels had been balanced previously.

Yes, that is quite an endorsement.

Out of curiosity, what were the piston ring end gaps on the used rings? Ordinarily rings would automatically be replaced in an engine that is torn down.

I have test ridden both models and the standard GSW worked much better for me. It seemed to handle better, was more nimble, was less cumbersome, and was easier to reach the ground with my feet.
