It works

I have my heaters over the stock rubber grips with grip puppies over the top.

Secured the heating pads with duct tape, simple, works fine. The wiring was the time consuming part.

Wee thoughts

If you are doing a lot of slabbing fully loaded, my Wee feels a little underpowered after 75mph. It is a great bike up to that point but I sometimes wish for the vstrom 750.

Great bike, picked mine up last fall with 800 miles on it. 3k later plus some farkles, I think she is a keeper. I like the riding position, has more than adequate power and 50 mpg.

Looks like you helmet held up better than mine. I had the prior generation and took a nasty shot to the head and chin (along with 7 broken ribs) and the flip mechanism on one side broke. Bottom line...

Madstad solution

I put a piece of angle aluminum between the windshield mounts on the madstad bracket. Mounted a u-bolt ram mount on the bracket. Use a 3" ram mount. Works like a champ. Right is in the center.

The prior owner of my bike had the H&B's installed before giving it to his wife to learn to ride. She dumpeted it 4 times. No damage to any of the plasics or bike. They did the job.:rofl

I had the ubolt mount with a 6" Ram mount on my 6th gen + a garman nuvi It worked well and was very secure . You can then use the ram mount on other vehicles

I personally crash tested this helmet, Zox Nevado. It broke.

The chinbar stayed locked but the side joint broke, although not completely. It was a good shot, 25 mph get off, but not a real high...
