Laugh Okee-Dokee...

Then perhaps we can veer away from the discussion of irrelevant - to this thread anyway - "slushboxes" and get back to talking about the merits/demerits of the DCT gearbox available on the new Honda...

Laugh My point exactly... You really don't know anything about the GM 8-speed slushbox.

So I guess that means you have *NOT* driven the new 8-speed slushbox you were gushing like a schoolgirl about, right?

And as I surmised, you are doing nothing more than quoting GM press releases,...

From the same link that avc3180 gave you - http://www.fz09.org/forum/31-stoltec-moto/4143-some-big-changes-coming-stoltec-moto-please-read.html - Nick Stolten says the following:

Cool2 Geez!

Have you driven one of the new CTS-V's with the new 8-speed auto?

If so, how? As they are not available to the public, or even the press yet... Ad speak and spoon-fed magazine promo hype do not...

Laugh Perhaps you should re-read your own post again...

But that's *NOT* what you said. You stated, quite emphatically, the following:

A DCT using clutches is *NOT* the "only" thing that "differentiates it from the old or conventional automatic...

Cool2 One more time... Why is it no one seems to get this?

As has been pointed out in this thread multiple, multiple times...

Honda's DCT, or anybody's Dual-Clutch-Transmission (DCT) for that matter, is *NOT* an "auto", as in automatic gearbox in the...

You get used to 'em... sort of. :rofl

Programming, use of certain sensors and perhaps a three-axis accelerometer, and predictive and perhaps adaptive logic.

But the point is that a 19" front wheel is no detriment on a gravel road, and gives up nothing to a 21" wheel under those conditions.

A 21" certainly...
