Glad that had a happy ending! I've had to remove three broken studs from the engine case at this point, two of 'em below flush including one with a broken easy out inside it. Talk about a headache.

Yeah, it was pretty stupid to use the extractor in the first place. they've worked when a bolt head is rounded off, but it's pretty clear now that seized threads are a different issue. gotta learn...
