I put a 44litre marsee bavarian bag on the rear of my 12gs. It was designed to fit the 1150, but works just fine. Very handy and holds a ton. $175.
I have the BMW side bags for trips.

I have gotten from 50-54 mpg. I am still on the initial 1000 miles. After I start using the upper rpms it will probably suffer. I made a 300 mile trip last weekend and made 54 mpg at 60-65 mph.
