Front Springs Mod For Sure...
I would very strongly suggest you get the front fork sorted out, especially for your weight.
The stock front springs are a minimum of 2 levels to soft.
48 -> 52 -> 54 or 56's for your weight....

I broke an XR650r frame, in Baja with the stock plastic skid plate. Now I install a plate of some sort on any bike as soon as I get it. Its cheap insurance, and adds to resale to have a clean frame...
