I'm not Mr. Mechanic, but reasonably so inclined. (or not, it seems)

Rear brake pads evaporated on my R1200GS and, in doing so, the metal on metal sh-t canned the rotor.

Wise me surfs the web...

This is exactly what happened. The outboard pad was pure metal, no pad left. Inboard was, MAYBE, 5% left.

At first I found my GS pretty unstable in cross winds. At some point I dialed up the suspension for a long distance trip w/luggage, and found that the suspension adjustment very definitely increased...

Came close in 4+ inches of snow on HWY 230 trying to head out of town in early June. In comparison, I find dirt to have quite a bit of traction!
