As pointed above, there is no floor in the vestibule, however there is the optional floor you can attach if you like, and use it when not parking the bike inside the tent. BTW, there is no problem...

You can do it

Buy any heating element kit that you like (I'd recommend one without the heat sink piece) - usually $20 - $60. Ditch the OEM grips and elements. Pick any grips that you like.
Solder the new elements...
