even if the engine seems frozen, take the plugs out-carefully- and squirt some WD-40 down the cylinders. Many projects I have done had some surface rust on one cylinder. won't take much to get it...

I owned a 05 Gold Wing and found out the "Tail box" hurts handling with a cross wind blowing. The only bike I ever had that was such a pig in a cross wind. It's like a tail steering an airplane.

As far as speedo accuracy I think all MC's are set up to show faster than they are going. My 05 Gold wing was constantly showing 5 MPH faster than my real speed... Radar checked!
