Yoshimura R77 exhausts can be had for 390 or so. I got one in carbon for the wife's 700gs and even the BMW dealer said it sounded better than the 700+ Akra pipe. Just ordered the same one for my 800.

Truth, I read up on that pretty extensively as well. I think the issues + 1 year warranty is the worry. Sounds like best best is to do the Uni from day 1 and just wave goodbye to the warranty.
