WR250R will do everything using little fuel, and barely any maintenance. And shares a few common parts with the WR and YZs. Not as slow as 250 sounds, just need their necks wringing.

Been happy with those on my bike ... rear's not as aggressive as a 606, but when I put a D606 on the back for a ride the extra height felt odd. The front is nice than a 606 IMHO.

Strong likelihood i'll be changing jobs soon, moving from doing 3 or 4 days a week of 3.5 hour return commute (push bike to station, train to city and back again) and 1 or 2 days of a 1 hour return...

Not at all... unless you're looking at an IMS tank. The Force is actually designed with the Safari tank in mind and there's no issues fitting to that or the standard tank ... in my experience.

I use one stock and one doubletake if on-road and leave the stock at home if i'm going bush.

The stock doesn't vibrate at all. The doubletake does vibrate a bit ... but not terribly.

Yep, they list it as a WRF250X ... god knows if it's a real bike or not, but it fits, and according to the leaflet that came with it fits tonnes of bikes.
