I have read the whole thread, great build and thanks for sharing.

I assume the epoxy end is the inner portion and the free vibrating end is at the outer end.

They flex outwards always. I had mounts to hold them at first making the cables slide up on compression. I found that they were not needed and removed them.

I would buy one again. I love it. I have 30k miles on mine with no problems. I ride it at ATV parks while my kids ride my dirtbike. It is heavy compared to the dirt bikes, but with good balance...

I had the dark for about a year. Unlit streets at night made it difficult to see the road thru the shield. I replaced it with a clear the second year. Other than that, no problems.

There is a method that Woody's wheel works documented in this thread on how to do it. I followed his directions. Cleaning was the most important thing. He also offers to do it for you for a price.

Sounds like the inner spacer has been smashed and is too narrow. Now tightened there is too much side pressure on the bearings making them too tight.

Yes I did. They are complete replacement, so I could put the old pegs back in. I used 1"x2" rectangular tubing to attach to the bike. That is the part that you see holes drilled thru.
