Couple thoughts

A 250 is going to suck going long distances on pavement. I think we all can agree on that. A Tiger absolutely loves the twisties, so you will have a blast there.

Obviously the 250 will out dirt...

hi jack alert

I've bought two relatively inexpensive DS helmets: the original AFX and the Joe Rocket. I've worn the JR for about two years and I'm thinking about upgrading to a Shoei or Suomy.

I'm wondering if...

Yeah, it's really annoying when I not only can't try on a helmet, but have to wait to order one. MC Superstores says something about shipping Aug. 31, but not sure if that's a firm date. I would...

I talked a friend today who used to own a Suomy and he said the paint flaked away in a stout wind, but that doesn't mean that's still the case.

One of my concerns is if I have to replace the face...

Here's some intel

Not sure what page it's on or if they address sizing, but it's from a conversation in June.

I'm curious about it, too. I am upgrading from...

I'm still waiting

I've had my Tiger for nearly two years and no complaints about how it rides. Love the bike, but I am still curious what was behind Door Number 2, which is the f800. It would have to be pretty damn...

Can't believe no one has jumped in yet. All I can do is endorse the Tiger. I went from a KLR to a Tiger and never looked back. I have no complaints about the KLR, and it's without a doubt the best...

One thing I've noticed

Is that ADV bikes are kind of accepted by most quarters. Maybe they're just being polite but I've had sport bike riders, dirt bikers, cruisers and Harley guys say "that's a pretty cool bike."

I could be full of shit

But here's my take. Japanese bike companies have been like the big U.S. car companies in the 90s. They made their money selling big, expensive SUVs and were fat, rich, happy and content to dominate...

Cycra handguards work

The fit isn't perfect. It takes some pretty substantial spacers and the clamps don't mate perfectly with the bars, but it's an option.
