Good point. Eastern Beaver makes this sort of harness. I have them on all my bikes. They also have a low beam cut off switch, so you can start the bike without the headlight draw.

Yep, no real way to bleed it except pump it up and down. I do have a parts diagram for the pump, and I can get a rebuilt powerpack from Milwaukee with the old one as a core. O ring set runs about 45....

It's leaking a bit from the ram seal, but not what I would call excessive. Normal lift is 24", I can get 12" out of it. Fluid is topped off.
