Just so ya know, the 400 header is considerably smaller in diameter than the 640 is. I did a write up with sizes a while back but don't have them now. I would think that using a 640 header on a 400...

Why not leave the seat alone and get lowering links if you only need an inch? I did both for my wife on her KLX 250 'cause she needed both. She's 5'2" and has a light butt to boot, so no suspension...

Just finished the wifey's '01 400 LC4 rocker cover re-seal. My '02 640 was done a year or so ago (both done with Honda bond 4), and all is good so far. Both of our bikes only have 1 dowel also.
