I went back on the weekend to see if I could find the piece of wood, but no luck... the grass in the ditch was relatively deep, followed by farmers fields... no idea where it went... Oh well.

HB are really good UNTIL you actually drop your bike. I dropped mine at 0 speed into soft soft dirt and it scratched the heck out of them!! Not a very durable finish to say the least!
