That's the theory, but Suzuki did away with them on the DR350 and on the DRZ400. The KLR650 uses cush drive, so does the DR650. I think the XR650L doesn't?

Not sure, I can't tell the difference when I ride either set except that the cush hub is heavier. The DRZ400 doesn't use a cush drive either.

The 97-99 DR350SE models got rid of the cush drive rear hub and went with the solid mounted hub that was standard on the dirt model DR.

Yes, it's an aftermarket headlight. The small light is a running light, usually used on dirt bikes converted to dual sports that don't have a lot of electrical power output at idle.

I don't know if I'd bother with the regulator. All that does is set the voltage for the head/tail light. It's not difficult to swap, but it shouldn't have anything to do with the way the bike runs.

It's easy to kick because it has an auto-decompression cam. All 94-99 dirt models have it and don't require use of the lever....even though they have the lever. I removed mine.
