98 GS1100, 6700 miles. Replaced fuel pump/ filter this Feb 2013. They were toast due to detoriation/ contamination. Runs strong like bull, now.

This issue- poor mpg's on a GS1100 is driving me crazy!

My "new" 98 GS1100 with 9700 miles (bought w6700 miles in Jan 2013) has one flaw left to be addressed, poor gas mileage. My old GS1100 w 100,000 miles in a side to side comparision would get 5/6 mpg...

I recently sold my 99 GS1100 w 100,000 miles (should never have sold it). The 99 GS runs better than my current 98 GS1100 I picked up with 6700 (now at 9700), and the 98 runs great.

I'm on my 3rd replacement BMW supplemental LED light. They suck. Although they do come with a 2 year warranty. Maybe it's the vibration from the off roading that kills them?
