Great bike, but not for HW use. I'm comfortable up to 90-100 km/h, at 140+ km/h it gets "scary" . It's a bit better if you set suspension on "sport" .

I did that. I kept red cap. Just bent "ring" and cable "down" at the original cable. You had to "arrange" cables and cap can be fitted.

14/48 is "short" (nice for very slow riding) , I like 15/48 (ideal for me, but no hw) .

I didn't liked stock 15/45 (lack of "elasticity" ) I have 15/48 and I like it. 16/45 probably works great at speeds over 100 km/h but wind "kills you" at that speed.

My 690 is overheating in speeds under 30km/h. Can you reach a speed like that? And get a proper air flow through the radiator? I don't think that spraying water will do any...

It could happen. It's a weird winter this year, but it might be snow in May (it's happened before). Usually the problem is snow left over from winter, so you probably will not have problems....
