Check that collar/needle bearing/washer combo without any other parts, is there enought room for bearing.

Some times these washers can be installed both ways when new, but after some use only one...

And trick is that there is no oil feed on valve drive that sealant can block...

Are you sure that you bike and manual are same model?

Check underside of tank, if you dont have any sensors then you dont have light.
If there is sensor, then check that wire is connectet.

Directly to positive is ok for testing, but if i remember right it is recommended to connect that sensing wire...
