It's a one piece bar mount which the damper fixes...

It's a one piece bar mount which the damper fixes to. The damper itself then fits over the stem nut. The original stem nut is also replaced with a round one which has a hex in the top to fix it down....

Possibly, but it's only there to stop the wire uncoiling until the grips are on. A wrap of electrical or self almalgamating tape does the job. :thumb
