Your bike is really cool and all, but why did you choose the CRF250L? If I were going to sink a lot of time and money into making a Dakar-style bike, I'd definitely be using a better bike as the base.

I've got a TR8 in front and 244 in back right...

I've got a TR8 in front and 244 in back right now. The TR8 is fine, but the 244 is a step down from the TW302 I had before. TW302 was better on and off road, especially in sand.
