Awesome so far

Can't wait for more Stan. So nice to see that red stitch getting a second life, it sat around for way too long in a closet. Damn that looks fun. You'll have to share your photos of the hottie tour...

A couple of ideas

Just a couple of random thoughts, well not entirely random, but not in any order of preference. If you want to get off the beated path and still stick to pavement try:

1. Smith River Road from...

Hoax is the wrong word

I've ridden in this event for 4 or 5 years, always trying to find dirt on the way to the dams. The event isn't a race, there's flippin 7 months to finish, and the organizers ride to ALL the dams...

The bridge was redesigned a bit

To hopefully avoid the big snow and runoff. That's my friend John S. working on the new bridge. Those guys have volunteered many weekends to fix that thing.

Rode the Magruder East to West on 7/31

About 80 miles of nothing to it gravel, and about 25 miles of quite rocky slower stuff, not exactly tough, but not 3rd gear fast stuff, at least not on a 1000 cc adventure tourer with a 10 days of...

The 31st

I'm going to try to get through from the east on the 31st of July. I'll post as to the status at that time. Hopefully just a few drifts to get through, but we'll see.

I plan to hit this on the 31st, so I'm hoping so. Thanks for the update.

Nice Report Dive!

I hit snow at 4,950 up on the Molalla corridor on Saturday as well. It was patchy below that some too. Is French Creek open yet? That's a bit below there.
At least you tried, probably saved the...

This sounds like a great time

I would love to participate. Have worked some of the pro rally events in the Tillamook forest, and always had blast. It's just gotta be fun on a bike.

Dam Tour

Someone mentioned Dam Tour as a NW event. As someone who participated last year I thought I'd mention it's "mostly" pavement, but a dam about 90 miles north of Revelstoke BC introduced me to some...

Snow at 1100' last weekend

Encountered snow in the OR coast range at 1,100' last weekend. Patches below that, but consistent above. This was to the South of Highway 6 running from Portland to Tillamook. Hopefully it's...

Right on Coach

So happy to see your recovery continue. The afternoon you spent with me prior to the Alcan 5000 was the most productive training I've ever had. Better than two days of track school for sure! And that...

Can't make it, but miss him

I really wanted to go, but am stuck at work tomorrow with a broken down server. I did want to post, as I have a friend who lives above Estacada just before where 224 turns into FS46 and he says...

Check to make sure throttle body boots are connected

My 1000 had a similar problem for a little while, not nearly as bad as yours, and it has way more miles. I eventually found the problem was that the boot from the throttle body to the front cylinder...

Add one more to the group buy

I'd like to get on the list for a 300 if possible. I couldn't quite tell whether we need 50 total, or 50 of either 300 or 400. If it's one or the other and you only get the number needed for the 400,...
