Yes screw top and bottom on clutch side, 12 and 6 o'clock. On throttle side wire goes through end of handle bar so you have to feed the wire back up into bars from where the wire comes out mid point...

And is the large positive cable attached to the solenoid? The solenoid will engage the plunger (clunk sound) but unless the battery cable is connected to the solenoid the starter will not turn
