Bike is riding at 90km/k, i guess that amount of fuel is enough to redline it in neutral.
I would look for vacuum leaks or tps issues.

I don't remember where i've found the information but it's enough when the pin diameter after flaring is 0.4mm bigger.
The link plate fits really tight so a little over the hole diameter is enough....

Avoid ground on footpeg, the pin might be dirty and current will flow only through the spring (and melt after a few secs). Ask me how i know :D

Good enough. I've used mainly 10w mineral hydraulic oil (that kind used for machinery) but i've also used "unknown viscosity used fork oil" and 15w50 motor oil without noticeable differencies.
