A mate of mine rode one over the Central highway ( Perth to Alice Springs ). Went alright. Only damage was a cracked fairing screen, broken fairing mount, mirror fell off and a dented front rim....

I like BMW toolkits

Good to see another BM rider in Tassie. I reckon the BMW toolkits are pretty good. You can do all minor repairs and servicing with them and pack up pretty neatly.

We did something similar last month.

Andy-gadget and I did an engine swap on my R80g/s last month for similar reasons. Took about 4 hours with coffee and bullshit breaks.
