Wear you gear! You may get warm but it is easier to stay hydrated and take a shower later than it is to mend bones or grow new skin (and good gear can keep you cooler on a hot day vs no gear).

No need to drain the oil as you'll only loose a few drops taking the valve covers off. When adjusting the valves, do it with the engine COLD (I do mine after it's sat overnight).

Have had to do the same with the kids on sportbikes. I like to normally ride on the left 1/3 of the lane (depending on the situation) and have been passed by them on the right in my lane.
