I'd get the SM. I own a 2006 and love it. The S rims are not hard to find. Plus the SM is a ton of fun to ride around town. Takes me a 1/2 hour to change out rims. Two bikes in one. Be careful....

Sounds like you have a oil gas mixture in your oil reservoir. Done that on a dr200 by mistake. Check the oil level. It may be plum full with gas oil mixture.
