I've had many bikes and ended up with the 690. The only down side is with 65 horsepower it tends to make you ride like an ass-hat. Another plus is the great gas milage it gets. I love this bike!

I did Mexico on a XT, probably 2,000 of that trip was dirt roads. I did bottom out the front fork a couple of times. The bike was fun, comfortable and stone reliable.
