EDIT: ADVR is peculiar in not accepting anything coming from MS Word. I had saved the image addresses there then pasted here but it crashes the post.

R1150GS SHB seals

I have a 2005 F650GS Dakar. The steering head bearings have a simple metal shield to keep grit & water out. Failure of the SHB's is an acknowledged problem with these bikes.
