I brought the wheels in to them. Owner was knowledgeable and friendly. Tires mounted and balanced properly. No fuss...

Well, persistence pays off because I learned if you push down HARD on the chrome thingy-lever at the bottom of the plug you can rotate the plug upwards and off. Thanks all!

Thanks for the effort, ragtoplvr, but I have ABS II, not the Evo brakes, so it's different.
And spag, I'm sending it to Module Master, where, because it is ABS II, they can fix it.

Thanks rebelpacket. I replaced the shims with the opening at the top to allow space for a screwdrver blade to help wiggle the sensor out next time I have to remove it. The gap is now perfect...
