Handle bar mounting may not be the best for SPOT

On my BMW the "Spot Personal Trakker" gets mounted in a RAM cradle
on the right side of my 1/2" crossbar on the handle bar handlebar.
The GPS gets mounted on the same crossbar but to the left.

Heat in the tent!

I too have had luck with a simple candle lantern.
The few times I've used mine in the cold, it definately helped warm things up.
The tent was a small Eureka 2 person timberline with fly.

12VDC air compressor

I have a Slime compressor that came as a kit with slime.
I used it all winter for a leak on my car tire.
Its been used about 20 times and it's still functional.
I like it, cost me about $20 bucks....

Interesting idea, as I recall from my early camping experiences, not using a pad condenses moisture between the ground and the bag essentially wetting your sleeping bag. Hense the need for the pad....

Front only lasted for 2-3K miles before cupping.
I thought they stuck on wet and dry pavement great.
In the dirt they spoiled me.

I became aware of ICE about a year ago.
Since then I've asked two EMT's if they new what ICE was.
Their response was never heard of it.
Could be a local thing but not everybody is on board yet!

Without the pad, water will condense between tent floor and the bag.
Wet down is not good! When the bag is too hot I just use the

The one I use matches the default that MS-Streets and Trips gives me when selecting routes.
