It will work. Measured the lift with a car on it where I work on my stuff now. 12' would be ideal. 14' maybe for big trucks but we have never come close.

S12 is a good hard compound soft terrain tire. The rear will probably be fine but you might want to try a different tire for the front if you are going to be running more on harder packed roads.

Could be a bad clutch switch too. If the clutch switch is broken, removed, disconnected etc the bike will only start in neutral...plus it will run weird.
