Same here. I hacked at the hole for a while and eventually got the elbow to go in and stay in. It's the best solution vs a stubby hose IMHO.

I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. I felt the 690 as delivered just felt too girthy. When standing, I had to bow my legs around that trellis frame, and I just couldn't get used to it....
