At 5200 miles I would not think that the bushings would be worn but I guess it does depend on the riding that you do too. If and when you go into the forks it may be a good idea to replace them.

If I got into it that much I probably would pull the forks, replace the seals with the SKF low stiction seals, and check out the fork bushings for wear.

It will do this again and again. I think mine has done this a total of 3x over 9000 miles with no work being done on the bike that would account for this issue....
