When I ride along at about 50kph and let go of the bars the front wheel starts the beginning of a tankslapper. Doesn't do it as much at slower speeds, nor as much at higher speeds, and just lightly...

Is it normal for the centrestand to spring down and hit the ground when going over bumps, then spring back up and tap you on the heel as if to say "slow down".
I find it quite comforting.

I just use the starter button to turn the motor over. As long as the cam follower is on the base circle of the camshaft which covers a helluva lot of degrees then you don't need to feck about turning...
