Tread on OEM Bridgestone may last but traction stinks. Threw mine away with less than 4000 miles and lots of tread left and put PR3s on my 2013 to have any confidence on damp roads.

I'm with Dduelin on this. No mention on US NC700 forum. One incident of 1 time on one 750 on UK forum. That was on a 750 which has updated DCT software. I don't see DCT as big risk.

Didn't say it was, only that user can do something stupid that gets it stuck in gear. I love my DCT and with 17,500 miles have no complaints.

Got mine stuck in sixth one time unknowingly bumping kill switch at 70mph. Finally noticed it at side of road and had to multiple times turn ignition on/off and rock bike to drop gears one at a time....
