Make sure the springs are seated in the plates correctly, I did one correct and one incorrect on a Tacoma. It creaked and popped until I took it off and seated the spring.

I have run one on a KLR since last summer, about 2300 miles. So far it works very well although customizing the screens would be a good feature and having two trip meters wouldn’t be a bad idea.
