I removed the lowers on mine and I like it better...

I removed the lowers on mine and I like it better that way. My feet would get real hot in slow traffic when I had the lowers installed. Might feel different in winter.

Rivet is most likely better when installed properly, However master links also work really well when properly put on. I've had 8-9 bikes with master links and I've abused the chains pretty badly....
