Aeroflow - Just do it!

I'm on my second R1200GS. The first (an '05) was totalled with me on it in June of last year when someone hit me from behind. I tried a few things to resolve the stock windscreen turbulence issues...

Do winglets plus Givi work as well as Aeroflow?

My '05 R1200GS got hit from behind in June with me on it. Car totaled, bike totaled, yours truly beaten up but saved by all the gear.

I loved everything about my R12GS but the dumb windscreen....

Givi + Tobes + Lip = Good at 100 mph

We finally got a break in the weather so I could put a few more miles on my 1200GS with Givi screen , Tobinators, and Laminar Lip. I ran it on the highway for a while and got up to 100 mph for a bit....

Spline lubing...

I did the splines on my R80ST for the first time last summer. The ST is pretty much the same bike as the R80 G/S.

No, I didn't pull the rear swing arm out but I might do that the next time. I...

Dimensions from my Givi + Tobinators + Lip setup

Chris,

I added a Laminar Lip on my Givi screen last weekend and a 20 mile ride afterward told me that it's a good improvement. We've had snow, ice, and salt since then so I haven't had a chance...

Thanks to mistercindy and others...

I had read your review of the Lip and that influenced my decision to give it a try. Thanks for that and thanks to others who wrote about their own experiences.

Looks like tomorrow won't be a...

I think it's the Lip for the standard screen. I...

I think it's the Lip for the standard screen. I bought it used from a guy who sold his GS. From the Lip web site, it looks like they only sell one R1200GS Lip, so that must be what I have.

It did...

R1200GS solution = Givi + Tobinators + Laminar Lip

I think (and hope) that I finally found the right combination of stuff to give me good wind protection and reduced turbulence without turning my GS into an RT.

I first got a Givi screen. It...

Windscreen that works!

I love my R1200GS but am still fiddling with windscreens, brackets (Tobinators), etc. to reduce noise and turbulence. I realize it won't ever be like my R1150RT and that's not my goal, but it needs...

Triple Digits over the WnS Gloves?

Another thought on waterproofing Mike's new gloves - Aerostitch/Rider Wearhouse sells their GoreTex "Triple Digit (http://www.aerostich.com/product.php?productid=16447&cat=301&page=2)" overgloves for...

I traded an R1150RT for an R1200GS

After riding an R80ST most of the time, I finally decided that my nice but bulky R1150RT was just too porky. Great bike but 600+ pounds was just too much. After looking into a lot of alternatives,...

Stop to adjust headlight

Leon is right. The adjuster is the hex headed plastic thing in the middle of the handle that you flip to lower the beam with a load on the back. It's virtually impossible to adjust in motion. I...

Any R1200GS Aeroflow/Givi WS near Boston?

I love my new R1200GS but am definitely in the market for a replacement windscreen and possibly a small fairing that will give me more wind protection and less turbulence. I'm 6'2".

Does anyone...

R12GS: How many keys? Best RAM mount?

I traded my R1150RT for an R1200GS on Saturday. So far, I really like it. It has that nice light and flickable feel that I like so much in my R80ST. The R1150RT is a great bike, but it just feels...

Just what I needed!

Thanks for measuring your top box and posting the dimensions. That was just what I was after. Looks like a new GS for me!

Need R1200GS BMW case dimensions

Hi,

I'm just about ready to trade my R1150RT for an R1200GS. The RT is a great bike but I'm looking for a bike with modern power and brakes but the lightness and fun-to-ride factor of my R80ST. ...

The place to go with R80ST questions

I bought an R80ST early in 2004 and have been bringing it back to health. Great bike! Mine came with a color-matched PD tank and that works fine.

There's a great group of people who help each...
