Thanks! I took off the gasket and the Wings did fit on perfectly. At one point I was considering high temp RTV but the experts tell me it is not needed so I didn't.

A number of friends have the 500 and one has the 350. I think if you have a lot of experience, or plan to ride a lot on the street, the 500 makes more sense. Otherwise the 350 is also awesome.

The main problem with the 690 platform on single track is the weight, of course, but also the limited steering sweep on 2013 and earlier models. My 2010 has a 69 sweep, and the 2013 has 87.

The bike does smooth out some but it wont change that much.
