Trading up

I'm glad to hear it! The 800 has been good to me, but I feel like a few things could be better. All I kept thinking about on the test ride was the price difference between my used 800 and the new...

lowered GSA vs standard GS

I was at the dealer yesterday and almost took home a lowered GSA. The lowered GSA is slightly lower than a standard GS (both seats in the lowest position).

Trading up

I'm about to trade my '12 F800GS Trophy for a white GSA. Are you still loving the new ride?

Adventure panniers

I had a few low speed falls in the sand in Baja and the BMW cases held up well for me. I have about 17,000 miles on mine and no complaints.

+1 On Deckers area and Rampart Range Rd.

I just rode Rampart range on Sunday, and while there was some snow on the trail, it was still rideable.

I've come close on fuel a few times on my...

Sunday ride

Took a nice ride on some local fire roads through some mid-May snow in the Rockies. By the way, it's 64 degrees and sunny today.

No regrets

I'm at 14,000 miles on my 2012 Trophy edition. Once I sorted out the luggage, windscreen and suspension I couldn't be happier. Oh yeah, for what it's worth I'm 5'7" with a 31" inseam.

Well it looks like they'll be plenty of us down there. I'm leaving San Diego on the 16th and will stick to the Pacific coast once I cross into Mexico. I won't be able to go too far south before I...

Wet roads

I have about 2,000 miles on my K-60's and and have been loving them up to this point. Last week I got caught in my first rain storm with them and had a little scare as I braked a little before...

Low seat

I'm another 5'7", 30" inseam F800 GS rider, and I've had my '12 800GS Trophy for almost a year and 11,000 miles and absolutely love it. I did have several close calls and a few actual tip-overs the...

Thanks for all of the replies. I should have mentioned that I was looking for a spot to pull over for the night, rather then the Dixie National Forest was my destination. I wound up camping off of Rt...
